How to Change an Alarm Code

    • 1). Enter "Program," "Code" or "Setup" mode on your alarm system.

    • 2). Enter your master alarm code using the number keypad. This code is supplied with your system and can be in excess of four digits.

    • 3). Enter or select the number of the access code you want to change. For example, alarm code number "04."

    • 4). Enter a replacement alarm code. This code should usually be around four digits long but will vary depending on your system.

    • 5). Confirm the code and exit the menu. You may be prompted to assign a "clearance" level to the code, which restricts the changes the employee or family member can make to the system. Your new code will work immediately.
