ARE YOU READY FOR 2008? Well another year has come and gone and if you are like most people, I'm sure you would agree that 2007 just seemed to fly by.
The question I want to ask you is did you accomplish everything you set out or wanted to do last year? Think about this, a home builder would never think of starting to build a house without a set of blueprints or plans to guide them.
A ship or a plane would never consider taking off for their destination without first charting out a course and planning their trip in detail and in advance.
Shouldn't we show the same concern when planning our own lives? The truth is if you really want to be, do, and have more in 2008, then you need to set goals.
Goals serve as a roadmap for your life, and properly set goals will help you target in on what you really want out of your life in order to bring them into existence.
The key ingredient to great goal setting is to first, know exactly what you want and then define a timeline for its achievement.
A goal is simply a dream with a deadline.
Once you have determined exactly what it is you want and then put a deadline to it, you then must ask yourself a very important question.
WHY.
Why do you want to achieve this particular goal? If your reason for wanting this goal is strong enough, then when things get tough, you will have a strong enough reason to keep persisting.
Finally, once your goals are set, do not let a single day go by where you don't take some form of action (no matter how small) towards achieving your goal.
Remember...
a journey of a thousand miles must begin with a single step (Lao Tzu).
Good luck in becoming the success you were meant to be.
