Most western countries today have obesity problems, with the USA, Australia and the UK leading the way.
The average diet in these countries encourages weight gain and consists of high carb diets, high fat, lots of sugar and not a lot of exercise, it's a lethal combination.
If you add to this the explosion of fad diets such as atkins, LA diet, cabbage diets or whatever other crazy buzz diet is in at the moment it's no wonder that we are getting fatter and fatter.
The diet companies use secuctive marketing techniques that prey on the fact that most overweight people are looking for a quick fix and they target their efforts accordingly.
I am sure you can think of many different examples of this.
Now I am a big fan of the idea that everyone is responsible for their own actions and if you are fooled by these products then it's your own fault but it also makes me angry to see so called "health foods" on the supermarket shelves that actually contain MORE calories and sugar than typical products.
It's time to go back to basics my friend, Step 1 - You and only you need to decide that you are going to make the changes required to get rid of your belly fat.
Without this step everything else is pointless and you WILL fail.
Step 2 - Focus on your diet before exercises.
Make some simple changes, like eating more meals a day, but eating smaller portions.
Try to eat non processed foods when you can.
Drink lots of tea.
I don't need to tell you what's healthy and what isn't.
Write out a rough eating plan.
Step 3 - Don't waste time doing boring exercises that you will give up in two weeks.
Focus on targeted full body exercies that burn 10 times more calories than your usual treadmill type stuff.
Lets' not fool ourselves, it takes a commitment to lose belly fat, or lose weight in general, but it all starts with a decision on your behalf.
After you make that decision it's actually quite fun and the benefits are huge.
