Once you have been married for a few years, you start taking each other for granted.
You tend to forget the reason that you got married was because you liked each other's company and enjoyed spending time with one another.
Add to that a taxing professional schedule and the pressure of raising a family, being available for friends, family, and relatives round the clock and running a house and you can become a live pressure cooker.
To avoid all this and live your beautiful moments once again, you need to ensure that you plan out something for just the two of you regularly.
This is important to keep your relationship alive and make your married life fulfilling.
Inform your husband well in advance that you want his undivided attention on the big day.
Informing him is important so that he does not plan anything for that night.
Book a reliable babysitter and make sure that she is there to take care of your children in time.
Even if you're not sure, getting a backup like a friend or grandparent can give you an insurance policy to ensure the night does not get cancelled.
Next, plan something that both of you like.
It could be catching a late night movie, bowling or watching a concert.
Really anything that you can do where you'll be together will be enough.
If you'd rather enjoy each other's company, consider going for a long drive, walking on the beach or eating a nice restaurant.
Whatever you decide, you know it'll be great because you're together.
If going out is not possible, then maybe you can plan something at home.
You can plan a romantic dinner complete with a hot bath, relaxing massage and a scrumptious dessert all rolled into a date.
But before you plan such a thing, ensure that your children are either asleep or at a relative's place to avoid any kind of embarrassment.
Ensure that you look nice and try to remind your spouse why there was interest in the first place.
Remember to not take each other for granted and to enjoy each other's company.
Whatever you do, make sure that you have ample time to relish each and every moment and each and every touch during the date.
Treat it like a date where you would dress up for your man.
Make every effort to make him feel special and loved.
