Only for Coaches: How to Quickly Design and Implement a Profitable Coaching Business in 3 Steps

In this article we are going to take a quick and easy look at launching a coaching business in 3 very simple, very easy steps.
No heavy lifting, no gimmicks, gadgets or guru's required.
The truth is, the biggest obstacle I see most aspiring coaches struggle with is NOT a lack of good information.
Instead, it's an OVERLOAD of too much information that leads to analysis paralysis and a sense of "stuckness" that almost always leads to failure to follow through.
The 3 simple steps below? They are designed to produce the exact opposite result.
By simplifying your coaching business into a series of small steps that you can immediately implement with ease, you will make PROGRESS a priority.
(rather than profit) And when you do that...
your rituals, and rewards become immediately aligned.
If you are coach, consultant, teacher, trainer, marketer or mentor of ANY kind who has a message to get out to the masses...
I challenge you to implement the steps below, and watch your confidence (and client list) GROW each and every week.
Step 1: Identify Your Ideal Audience (create your client composite) Who is it that you are speaking to in a perfect world? Who is your ideal client? What do they look like, what do they do now and what are the problems, obstacles and challenges they face? Also - identify who you do NOT want to work with as well.
Who is NOT your ideal client? Maybe you know that a certain type of personality or problem is not someone, or something that makes you comfortable.
Knowing this in advance, and being really clear about folks who may stress your success is critical to get some clarity about as well.
(and something most of us learn far too late as well!) Get as hyper specific as possible...
and create a client composite.
Once you know who you are targeting, with great specificity, your coaching business becomes infinitely more simple in a single snapshot.
Step 2: Create an Offer It amazes me how many coaches and consultants don't know what they are going to sell to the people who arrive at their website, blog or social media profiles interested in learning more.
I mean, sure it's great to have lots of traffic and a blog post that goes viral...
but if you have no idea actually what it is that you are offering, or an ambiguous offer at best...
you'll never be able to capitalize on your hard work.
So step 2 is quite simply - especially if you are a coach, create a curriculum or a teachable, trainable product or service of some type that you can attach, and demonstrate a value.
Be it a service offer (e.
g.
- 8 weeks of nutritional training, 4 hours of life coaching, 30 minutes of intuitive counseling) or a product (and ebook, webinar, audio program) you NEED something to sell straight away.
(and NOT an affiliate program, or some sort of online marketing nonsense that won't work, and will erode your credibility and your community as well) Step 3: Promote Yourself With Passion and Purpose! This is the most difficult thing for most people to do...
but is really the key to being a successful coach, consultant or mentor of any kind.
It may feel awkward to "sell" yourself in the beginning...
BUT, if you have passion, and believe in what you are doing...
there is real POWER in being your own biggest advocate, especially until you get a community of fans, friends and followers who will evangelize in your behalf.
For example, creating a low priced (99 cents) or even FREE Amazon Kindle ebook...
and using that to give away to other bloggers in your niche, to potential customers and clients and so forth, can be a GREAT way of demonstrating your experience and expertise, and generating new clients to boot.
There are literally hundreds of fun, easy and lucrative ways to promote yourself that are NOT obnoxious and very effective, and if you have something to sell set up (step 2) turning your PASSION and purpose into perpetual piles of profit is NOT hard to do to boot!
