What is Acne? Acne is a skin disorder that shows up on the face, neck, shoulders, and back of a person, and affects their physical appearance.
It can get very frustrating when trying to understand the causes and treatments of Acne, but that's where this article is going to come in, because today we will be talking about both the causes and the treatments of the skin problem known as Acne.
So how does Acne even start or develop to begin with? This is the basic understanding of how it develops on our skin: an enlarged hair follicle gets clogged up with oil and bacteria, and this is what causes the sore to appear.
The skin will produce more oil and cause more bacteria to grow in the sore, and now you've got a case of Acne on your hands.
Blackheads, whiteheads, papules (red pimples), and pustules are all forms of Acne.
You can distinguish whiteheads and blackheads by their color.
The dark color (blackheads) does not mean that the skin is dirty; it is due to a buildup of melanin, which is the skins darker pigment.
Papules are the reddish pimples that have become inflamed by the blockage of certain oil glands.
Pustules are generally the same thing, with the exception of the white pus that they develop at the top.
It was thought for years that dirt was the cause of Acne, but this is not true, it's just a myth, because dirt has nothing to do with Acne at all.
Another myth is the greasy food myth, where supposedly if you eat an order of McDonald's French fries, that you are going to wake up with thousands of pimples the next morning.
These myths are not true, and need to be put to rest.
As far as causes and treatments of Acne, there is no cure for it, but there is control.
You can use products that have acne-fighting ingredients (such as Proactiv) to help fight off acne.
You should also use clean towels, clean sheets and blankets, and clean pillow cases; all to help fight off Acne.
These are the causes and treatments of Acne.
Unfortunately, there are no cures for acne, but if you follow what you learned in this article, you will understand acne more and be able to take control over it.
