Adding weave to an individual's hair provides a look that maybe the natural hair cannot. Weave is used to extend most hair. Others use it for more volume and more defined types of styling. Many celebrities wear weave for it's convenience and its ability to change styles so frequently. Weave is worn with confidence, style and fashion. Today's world looks at the styles that are used with weave as works of art. From different lengths, textures, weights, and colors, weave takes hair to a whole new level. - Half-weaves are the easiest to style and wear. These weaves are worn curly, straight, wavy, short and long. Half weaves are placed on half of your head, leaving the remainder of your hair out in the front. The hair that remains out can be styled to blend in with the half-weave giving your hair a natural blend. Most half-weaves are kept up with hair moisturizer and oil. This stimulates the hair and allows it to be easily maintained.
- A whole-weave can be done in several ways and is used mostly for long-term wear. Whole-weaves can be sown in as well as glued. Sewing a whole-weave in can take longer than a sew-in due to the defined stitching. This type of weave styling takes up the entire head. Weave is placed from the front of the head, all the way to the back. Styling with a whole-weave gives a brand-new look. The more hair that is used for a weave the more options you have for styling. With a whole-weave it is important that the hair is covered at night, to maintain a consistent style.
- Loose-weave is a style that can be worn attached to your natural hair. Weave ponytails are considered as loose-weaves that can be worn in style. Loose-weaves give you the option of keeping your natural hair out. Gelling or styling your natural hair into a small bun, wrap the loose-weave around the small bun using hair pins to keep the weave tight. Loose-weave can also be placed with a clip that attaches to the natural hair. Having a loose-weave is not as convenient and sturdy as a half- or whole-weave, but it maintains properly as long as its kept up.
