Saddlebags and Other Biker Accessories

Bikers love their bikes, as well as buying gadgets such as saddlebags, and pimping out their bikes.
There are many accessories available for all types of bikes and riders.
They range from cruiser windshields, GPS units, and bike to bike communicators, to travel trailers and much more.
While some really are for fun, others are closer to a necessity.
A biker is naturally braced against the wind with a sporty, forward-leaning bike, whereas on a more laid back bike such as a cruiser a wind shield is needed.
It creates a much more comfortable ride, whereas without it a rider would have the force of the wind constantly blasting against him, but especially against his head and neck.
When choosing a windshield to mount on your bike, be sure to get one that you can see over the top of it, and does not cut across your vision.
With a well designed windshield the air flow will go up over your face and head, directing wind, bugs, and debris up and over, which is much better than the alternative.
Most Plexiglas windshields are not clear enough to provide a clear view.
Most things will look distorted especially at night.
One of the most useful accessories is saddlebags.
They turn your bike into a very practical form of transportation.
Now you have a place to store what you need to take with you.
Hard bags, which are really like mounted suitcases, are one option.
These are waterproof and can be locked, keeping all of your belongings dry and safe.
Not too many motorcycles offer these, but they can be purchased from an aftermarket manufacturer.
Another option is soft saddlebags that you mount over your seat.
These are usually made of leather, vinyl or Cordura.
There are many accessories that can be purchased for a motorcycle, windshields and saddle bags are two that really are more of a necessity.
So mount your windshield, throw on your saddlebags, and take off down the open road.
