Sublimation is considered to be the most difficult of all and so it is performed only on the synthetic materials such as acrylic. Heat transfer is an easier and a quicker process as compared to the screen printing. However it comes with a drawback as well. The final products produced by the heat printing method will not last longer as that of the screen or sublimation t shirt printing.

Heat transfer technique is often applied on white t-shirts. This is done in order to avoid the skirmish of two colors. The mechanism involved in this process is quite simple as the pre designed artwork is just heated and transferred to the shirt. This can even be done at home with the help of an iron and the ironing board, though more sophisticated instruments are available for batch printing. The printed design doesn't last for long and seems to develop cracks after some time. The color also starts to fade away slowly.

Sublimation technique is the fastest among long lasting printing techniques. Though it is a complicated one and is performed only on the synthetic materials like acrylic and nylon. Also the cost involved in this type of printing is significantly high. The procedure involved in this type of printing involves the burning of ink to convert it into gaseous form and then imprint the design on the t shirt. This method involves the use of specialized ink, heating components and the substrates that will ominously escalate the cost of the garment.
