How to Hide Windows System Tray Icons

    • 1). Right-click a blank area of the Windows Taskbar and select "Properties."

    • 2). Click the "Taskbar" tab in the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" window that appears.

    • 3). Click "Customize" in the "Notification area" section.

    • 4). Un-check the box next to "Always show all icons and notification on the taskbar" at the bottom of the "Notification Area Icons" window.

    • 5). Click the drop-down menu next to an icon you wish to hide. Select "Hide icon and notifications" to completely hide the icon, or select "Only show notifications" to hide the icon, but allow Windows to display important messages related to the icon.
