- 1). Walk over to the printer and click on the "Menu" button. Click the "Menu" button until you see "Information Menu."
- 2). Press the "Item" button until you see "Print Configuration Page." Then click on "Select" to print the configuration page.
- 3). Wait for the configuration page to print, then look for the IP address of the printer. Take this configuration page with you when setting up remote management at your workstation.
- 4). Log on to your computer and click on the "Start" button. Choose "Control Panel" from the menu and choose "Printers and Faxes."

Click on "Add a printer" and click "Next." Choose the "Local Printer" option and make sure the automatic detection box is not checked. Click "Next." - 6). Choose the "Create a new port" option and choose "Standard TCP/IP Port." Click "Next" twice and enter the IP address from the printer configuration page. Click "Next" and then click "Finish."
- 7). Double-click the 4050 printer you just created. Look at the jobs spooled to the printer and check for any error messages. To cancel a print job that has errored, simply right-click on the job and choose "Cancel" from the menu.
