- 1). Bake cookies and decorate them with icing and sparkling sugar. Tint the icing with colors that reflect the palette of the wedding flowers and attendants' dresses.
- 2). Insert a wooden skew into the bottom edge of about 12 cookies. Dip the sharp end into icing before you secure it about 1-inch inside the cookie. This will act as the glue. Tie a simple satin bow with long streamers around the skewer under each cookie.
- 3). Use a clear glass cookie jar for the base of the centerpiece. Remove the lid.
- 4). Cover a block of dry florist's foam with cellophane. Add a piece of florist's clay to the bottom of the wrapped block. Place it inside the jar and press firmly to secure the clay to the glass.
- 5). Fill the space between the inside of the jar and the foam with cookies. Set them on end so the decorated top will line the entire jar. The foam will be hidden by the cookies.
- 6). Arrange the skewered cookies to form a mound above the mouth of the jar. Push the ends of the skewers through the cellophane and into the foam until they are secure.
- 7). Attach a skewer to the back of the florist's bow with wire. Push the end of the skewer into the foam until the bow is flush with the top of the jar. Allow the streamers to trail down the side.
- 8). Scatter silver foil-wrapped chocolate kisses around the base of the cookie jar.
