Open the diaper bag and remove all of the paper and other stuffing from the bag. Unzip all of the pockets and remove anything in them. Leave the pockets unzipped--you will be using them. the diaper bag you pick should be large enough to fit your items but small enough that it is functional. - 2
Place diapers and other large items in the bottom of the bag.babywindeln image by Daniel Fuhr from Fotolia.com
Set the largest item in the bottom of the bag. If you choose to purchase a case of diapers or even a bag of them, they will more than likely be the largest item. If there is another large item like diaper wipes, put them in the bottom of the bag as well. They won't be seen from the outside, but they will make smaller items more visible. - 3). Fan out medium-sized items so that they come out the top of the bag. Items, such as a baby blanket, baby powder, diaper rash cream and any other medium-sized items that you may have selected, should be placed on top of the diapers and wipes.
- 4). Fill the pockets with smaller items, such as diaper pins, so that they don't get lost in the bag and will stand out from the sides.
- 1). Place the largest items in the bottom or back of the basket if the items are all relatively flat or the same size. For example, if you chose a theme of baby animals for your gift basket, you may have chosen an animal receiving blanket, animal pajamas, pacifiers, a stuffed animal, a book and a cute outfit. The book would most likely go toward the back of the basket.
- 2). Choose the medium-sized items to go in the basket next like the receiving blanket, outfit or pajamas. Fan these items out so that you can still see the large items.

Place the smaller items in the front and sides of the basket. Often, stuffed animals or other cuter items go in front, or on top, so that they are most noticeable. - 4
Tissue paper is a good filler.tissue paper image by Christopher Hall from Fotolia.com
Wad up the tissue paper and place under the smaller items so that they sit higher. If the basket has large, empty places, this wadded up tissue paper will also work as filling so that your items don't move around as much.
