Sometimes you might feel jealous of the accomplishments of others, or you might feel resentful about the apparent ease with which others seemly succeed in everything they do.
You no doubt remember the Greek mythical King Midas who turned things to gold with a mere touch-and it seems like some people have the Midas touch.
Your feelings might be triggered by a sense of frustration with your perceived shortcomings.
Feelings of envy can be traced to your limiting beliefs about yourself.
Rather than feeling resentful about the success that others experience, you can focus on building up a solid belief that you are capable of accomplishing your goals and aspirations.
Your feelings of envy then transforms into a sense of admiration and genuine happiness for those who have achieved success, and they become a living example of what is possible for everyone.
By choosing to see your envious feelings as an indication of self-limiting beliefs, you will empower yourself to accomplish more than you believed possible.
You need to engage in introspection to determine what limiting beliefs are beneath your conscious awareness.
What are you telling yourself about your skills and talent? Are you telling yourself that you lack the skills and talent to achieve your goals and aspirations? Are you playing out injunctions you heard as a child? "You will never amount to anything.
With those grades do you really think you will get into college/or a good job? What is wrong with you? You are lazy.
" And the list goes on.
If you are playing out negative injunctions you need to root them out, like rooting out a weed in the lawn or garden.
Then affirm to yourself that you can and will achieve any dream you hold in your heart, your focus will be placed on excitement and eagerness to move forward with your goals and aspirations.
A strong belief in your ability to succeed gives you a sense of empowerment and determination to overcome any obstacle.
