Three Classic Christmas DVDs

Christmas time is a family time.
Mums and dads cuddle together with their children on the couch perhaps drinking punch or eating gingerbread.
The climax of holiday spirit in my opinion has always been watching Christmas DVDs together.
There's nothing that conveys the message of Christmas better.
Here are some all-time classics that are available as Christmas DVDs and that surely will add to your holiday movie watching experience.
A Charlie Brown Christmas Produced in 1965 this was one of the first TV specials that became a holiday tradition.
In this Peanuts cartoon Charlie Brown has the honor of directing his school's Christmas play.
He accepts, but it proves to be a frustrating struggle.
When an attempt to restore the proper spirit with a forlorn little fir Christmas tree fails, he needs Linus' help to learn what the real meaning of Christmas is.
What's especially beautiful about this TV special is how the movie makers managed to get exactly this message across.
It's a Wonderful Life Although this movie is not as holiday-centered as A Charlie Brown Christmas or others it became a holiday classic.
The story concerns the life of George Bailey one of the kindest persons you've probably ever met.
One Christmas night as Bailey fails to see true value in his life and wants to commit suicide but gets saved by an angel who the tries to convince George of how valuable he has been to the whole community of his hometown.
While only the finale of It's a Wonderful Life takes place during the festive season it nonetheless is a full-fledged Christmas classic that leaves you with a smile on your face and the wish to do good like George Bailey.
A Christmas Story This is probably the funniest Christmas movie ever made.
Main protagonist is 9-year-old Ralphie.
His biggest wish for Christmas is an official Red Ryder carbine-action 200-shot range model BB rifle with a compass in the stock.
The movie follows the trials he has to endure and the obstacles he has to overcome to make his wish come true.
This Christmas comedy has so many remarkable scenes that I don't even know where to begin.
One that stuck out for me was the family trip to the local department store where Ralphie finally has the opportunity of sitting on Santa Claus's lap and uttering his wish.
But the words get stuck in his throat.
I know that with this small roundup of Christmas DVDs I barely scratched the surface of what's available on the market.
I myself can't keep up with the speed new releases come out.
But you should definitely check out these classics before delving into the wide ocean of Christmas DVDs.
