How to Use Toothpaste Creatively

    • 1). Wash your hands with toothpaste to get onion, fish or other pesky kitchen smells off your hands. Toothpaste freshens your breath, so it can do the same for your hands.

    • 2). Dab a bit of mint-flavored toothpaste on a itchy welt from a bug bite. You should feel relief fairly quickly.

    • 3). Press white toothpaste into small nail or thumbtack holes in the wall. It's not as good as spackle, but in a pinch it can disguise the holes -- as long as your wall is white.

    • 4). Clean scuff marks off leather shoes and crayon off walls by rubbing a little toothpaste on the mark. Rub with a soft cloth. Dampen a second cloth and wipe off the toothpaste residue.

    • 5). Dry up a pimple by dabbing on some non-whitening toothpaste at night. While you sleep, the paste will absorb the oil. Be careful if you have sensitive skin -- the toothpaste might be irritating.
