Stop Porn Addiction - 3 Key Principles

Have you been frustrated trying to stop a porn addiction? You have probably told yourself countless times that you'd never do it again, only to do it again! Well, I know how you feel and I'm very thrilled that you found your way here somehow.
I don't think it was by chance.
My goal in this little article is to let you know that there's hope.
You can and will have your confidence restored again as you learn the way to stop your porn addiction! Before I tell you about where to go for some amazing, free information I want to talk about a few principles that I have come to cherish because they've restored to me a vision of great possibilities.
Take some time to quietly consider these foundation stones as you begin to stop your addiction to pornography.
Principle 1: God is real and his love for you is eternal.
As a being unbound by the limits of mortality our Heavenly Father can see our lives as a whole.
He knows where I've been.
He knows the deep feelings of my heart.
He uses his infinite wisdom to never put me in a situation that I cannot handle if I turn to him.
I am his child and thus have a divine potential for great capacity and strength.
He loves us all no matter what we've done.
So, we may trust that any thoughts or feelings that cut us down and tell us we're worthless are not from him.
He knows we can succeed and will provide a way.
Principle 2: We always have a choice.
So many people seem to believe, as I have at times, that because I have what's defined as an addiction that it also means that I have absolutely no choice in the matter.
There is always a choice! Your urges and desire to act out has most likely grown more powerful by virtue of reinforcing the behavior, but even in those low times we have a choice.
We needn't let ourselves believe that the temptation is too strong.
It may be powerful now, but the wise use of your agency increases your capacity to make good choices.
When we abuse that sweet gift of moral agency through justifying indulgence we find that too can grow stronger.
Begin with small choices and you'll soon find you have power to turn your head when you're tempted.
Principle 3: Be honest.
While being honest about our true situation may be scary, we place ourselves on the road to healing when we are.
Seeing rightly lays the foundation to forward progress and hope steadies us as we will most likely stumble to stand up again.
"When the student is ready the teacher will appear," speaks the ancient Chinese saying.
Consider these principles and listen carefully to what you feel impressed upon to do.
By listening to those whisperings that lead you to know God and to do good, you'll find truth, happiness & joy.
Hope IS real! Hope never retreats so far that we loose ability to lay hold on it.
We may, and often do, turn from it, but it's always just a prayer away.
