Logo Design: Things to Consider

We all know that Logo Design is not that easy as it sounds, even if we use a Logo Making Software. If someone considers it easy, it would really be a misconception. A logo is not something with a combination of decorative lines, fonts and colors. It is an identity of a brand or company. A logo is more identifiable than the name of a company and to achieve that kind of entity, one should require thinking, artistic inputs and systematic planning during the logo design process. We can say that it is not like to draw any image on paper while watching TV, a logo design requires full concentration. There are some €Dos and Don'ts€ about creating an awesome logo and in this article, we will discuss them. So, let us start!

The Dos:

1. Keep It Simple
Design templates that can be used to design logos but it would make your Logo design process a bit difficult. Logo making is not a kind of testing of your typography skills and illustrations. It is about how you can design your thoughts on screen with good presentation and without letting it too much difficult. So, keep your design as much simple, as you can do.

2. Be Vital and Active
Being inactive or rigid could lead to lack of innovation and there would be no place for any improvement in your design. Therefore, you must be active and dynamically check out your design and think about further improvements, but remember keep it simple not complex. A rigid logo would not add any taste to it. It may attract audience once but soon it become invisible for them. Therefore, you should design the logo in such a way that would bound audience to seek different types of tastes and preferences into it.

3. Always Ready to Adapt
Here, adaptation is does not mean that you have to change your logo after a regular period. It is about that how your logo adapts the surroundings nearby to it. As like, it may be possible that your logo looks great on the documents and printed papers but it is also possible that it would look worse on any coffee mug, T-shirt, etc. If it is so, your logo will never become popular. Your logo should not be a slave of color; it must also look good in Black and White format or with any other colors too. This versatility of your logo would make it popular.

4. Be The One
It is the most important thing that you should consider. Your logo should be unique. So, design your logo to be uniquely identifiable. Your logo should be like that if any minor change occurs, it would be the same that means it should be iconic.

5. Be Expressive
Your Logo should express a deep meticulous ideology and thinking, so that everyone should consider it more than a logo. It would not merely look like artwork or pattern of lines with text. It should tell the story of its existence and tells the hidden meaning of its own.

The Don'ts:

1. Don't Neglect the Importance of Colors
Colors are the key of any visual representation as it adds essence to the object. Colors can affect the emotions and feelings of any viewer. They can bound audience or can let them neglect the logo. Hence, it is important to choose the color combination that could target the customers as per their taste. You should consider the orientations of culture, gender and age of your audience to target and add it with your artistic innovation that will provide an amazing color palette for your logo.

2. Don't Add Too Much Creativity
Keep it simple is the basic rule for logo design, but we know that innovation is a wonderful thing that would add more gorgeous looks to your logo. However, there is a limit for all things. Your innovation abilities may be limitless but its use in practical life has its own limitations. Over usage of innovation can result in a logo that is amazing to look at, but may be difficult to remember and it could not provide any sense of company. Thus, the logo should be easy to remember and identifiable by the customers.

3. Don't Ignore the Typographic Appearance
Typographic appearance is the typeface of the logo and it should be unique. A customized hand-written typeface is far better than any kind of font style. It should be easily identifiable and it should keep the design plagiarists at its position that means your logo will be ripped if your font is discovered.

4. Don't Be Foreseen
Your logo should be worth watching. It should first convey the brand's identity but not led the audience to predict anything. Your logo must have a hidden meaning. It should be suggestive of something but not let the customers to a loud call of brand. It should have different perspectives to view.

5. Don't fall For Motto
As you know that your logo should be unique, but logo design has its own trend sharing, which falls in favor and out of favor of the logo as the time passes. Therefore, you should stick to the motto and provide your clients a unique logo that they expect from your side.
