How to Make More Points Visible on Scatter Plots in Excel for Mac

    • 1). Open the Excel for Mac spreadsheet that contains your data points and scatter plot. If your data points and scatter plot are on separate sheets, copy and paste them onto a new sheet to view them simultaneously. Click the + button on the bottom of the screen to the left of the horizontal scroll bar to add a new sheet.

    • 2). Increase the size of your scatter plot to make your existing data points more visible. Click and hold the bottom right-hand corner of the scatter plot. Drag it to the right to increase the size of the chart, axes and space between the data points.

    • 3). Add new records to your data set to increase the amount of data points on your scatter plot. Scroll to the bottom of your data set and type new values into the blank rows. Select the chart to highlight your data range and drag the bottom of the data parameter border to encompass your new records.

    • 4). Add a new series to your scatter chart to display two related data sets. Input your new values into the adjacent column and expand your data range to include the new column. Excel for Mac automatically assigns the new series a different color and inputs the column label into your legend.
