Homeopathy is a system of medicine that involves treating the person with highly diluted substances, mainly given in the form of a tablet, with the sole aim of triggering the natural healing system of the body. An All India Entrance Examination is needed for the selection into the BHMS course which is similar to the MBBS course. The duration of homeopathic courses in Maharashtra is five and half years, which also include internship. Further, a 4 years diploma in homeopathy is also available and once the candidate reaches the post graduate level a three year long MD in homeopathy is also available. Homeopathy, today, has created some sort of revolution despite having a severe competition from ayurveda and allopath.
