Things You'll Need
Step 1:
Wash hands with soap and cold water immediately. This should remove any excess oil from the peppers that is causing the burning sensation.
Step 2:
Saturate hands with olive oil to reduce burning sensation. The soothing properties of olive oil can provide immediate and lasting relief. The burning sensation may not subside for hours. Try saturating your hands in olive oil and have someone help you wrap your hands in plastic wrap or put on gloves. Wrapping hands in plastic wrap or putting on gloves will allow the olive oil to stay on your hands for a longer period of time.
Step 3:
Open a can of tomato paste and apply the ingredient to your hands. The acid from tomatoes helps neutralize the burning effects. Keep the paste on your hands until you no longer feel the burn or until the pain is bearable.
Step 4:
Fill a large bowl with cold milk. Place hands in bowl for immediate burn relief. If the burning sensation returns, repeat the process.
