Get in Shape on Your Vacation

Lazy days in the shade with something cold to drink sounds great, doesn't it? And it is, as long as you keep a few things in mind.
There should be no problem enjoying your vacation while still managing getting in shape and even lose weight.
1.
Breakfast: Dark bread, rich in fiber, with ham or turkey with paprika or tomato.
Eat eggs, one or two.
Drink coffee or tea.

Watch the carbs: Switch pasta, rice and potatoes to dinkel, bulgur, kamut wheat, quiona, barley, lentils, beans and lots of vegetables.

Skip the sweets: Watch that sugar! No more candy or pastries.
Switch your sodas for mineral water.

Up the proteins: eat a little more protein and a little less carbs.
try to eat fish at least twice a week.
Fatty fish like salmon or mackerel is very healthy.
Choose a leaner meat.

Be regular: Eat regularly, every three to four hours and never late at night.
If you feel the need for something at night, try some Sunflower seeds or some berries.
6.
Cold drinks, yes: Beer no.
There are loads of calories in beer and alcohol.
So keep it to a minimum.

Move it: Get a move on, take a power walk for an hour every day, or get on the bike.
This is how you burn fat.
The first six point is just about not gaining so much weight.
Exercise is how you lose weight.
Remember not to exercise too hard, your pulse should be about 60% of your max pulse.
There is a general rule that states your max pulse is 220-your age.
So, for a healthy adult, 40 years old, optimal weight loss pulse rate should be: 220-40=180-60%=108 bpm.
If you are not sure of your condition or if you want to train harder, please consult a personal trainer at a gym to do a "Max pulse test".
There are several great ways to motivate yourself to exercise.
Take your family or friends on a bike tour.
Take long walks in the woods, maybe with a camera to take beautiful pictures to put on your walls! Borrow a rowing boat, go on a romantic date and exercise at the same time! Rowing is excellent exercise.
If you are traveling, walk around in the new exciting city you are visiting instead of going on guided bus tours.
Swim.
If you live or visits an area close to the ocean or a lake, take the kids bathing.
You get some exercise and your family gets a great time at the beach! These are just some ideas, I bet you'll can find lots of ways to sneak in some exercise in your daily life.
Plan your diet, there are plenty of tools available online, read some reviews or ask around if you if you're not sure which one suits you.
This is important so you don't eat wrong.
That can lead to malnutrition and be counter productive.
