It"s Easy to Become Rich, Famous and Happy - Lesson Two EMOTIONS

Hi All...

Let's get on with our "magic mystery tour."

Everything that you are or ever will be is the result of how you use your mind. The world you see is simply the result of thought. Magnificent achievements and wondrous Journeys all started with a thought. I'm telling you now that it is a fact, whatever you believe you can achieve. Think you'll fail ? There is a good chance you will...Think you'll succeed? There is a good chance you will. You'll never be wrong.

The above concept has been covered and written about ad nauseum. The phrase, ad nauseum, has been used ad nauseum. The point?... Obviously you must come to accept this concept as a fact. You must think positive thoughts. You must also accept the fact that this is crazy. It's impossible to think positive thoughts all the time. Let's all agree that where you are today, is where you THOUGHT you were supposed to be. You can change your life by changing the way you think. I'm not minimizing the concept at all. I know it to be true. I've been there and done that but...

What about the negative little buggers that creep into your thinking? The ones that make you sad, angry or fearful. Do you close your eyes and start singing Gloria Gaynor's song "I Will Survive? and hope they go away? No, you don't. You work with your emotions and feelings and move forward.

Learning how to manage and be in control of your mind and all your emotions is a critical, I repeat a critical, step to becoming Rich, Famous and Happy.

Lesson TWO - EMOTIONS

To be able to travel the road to become Rich, Famous and Happy you need to stay in mentally great shape. Situations are always changing. Nothing is static. Embracing the changes can at times be very challenging. Every feeling you experience is influenced by your thoughts. Your thoughts and feelings are connected. Sometimes the days can "feel" very heavy and your thoughts can drain your energy. Negative thoughts bring negative emotions, positive thoughts bring positive emotions and then there are the dreaded feelings from nowhere. You could be feeling great one minute and the next second something changes and a wave of sadness washes over your whole body and you don't know why.

Conscious and subconscious thoughts affect your feelings and feelings affect your thoughts in an unending cycle. You are not unique. You are not alone. This happens to all of us and, yes, it even happens to the Rich, Famous and Happy people. They just learned how to manage their thoughts and emotions and are able to keep moving forward.

It's too darn hard, if not impossible, to fully control your thoughts and emotions. I do my best and try my hardest to at least manage my thoughts but, please"listen"carefully, "I pal around with and pay more attention to my emotions." I'll explain:

1 - The core emotions are Happiness, Sadness, Surprise, Disgust, Anger and Fear. I see my emotions as my friends. My Buds. Sometimes they act like my Buds on steroids but, my buddies never the less. They are there to keep me safe. There is no such thing as good or bad emotions. They all have a job to do. We weren't created with built in booby traps.

They are there to protect and support any lifestyle you have chosen to pursue and alert you to any mental or physical changes you may experience. Think, gauges on your cars dashboard. They're there to warn you, support you and help you ...Period.

2 - I've made a simple distinction in my life about the different emotions. Emotions that make you feel like smiling are telling you that you are on the right road and emotions that make you feel sad or scared are telling you to stop or slow down and beware, a detour or change may be needed. SIMPLE. It is too difficult to be aware of all the conscious thoughts flying around and, oh yeah; those subconscious thoughts are a real walk in the park. I embrace my emotions first. This helps me keep on moving forward until I can capture and decide what to do with my thoughts.

3 - Thoughts affect your emotions and your feelings. When you can capture a thought you have 4 simple options:

A-Treat the thought as family and give it a home.

B-Treat the thought as a guest and only give it a few minutes or a few hours to visit.

C-Treat the thought as an intruder and throw its butt to the curb.

D-lock it in the "closet" until you feel rested or have the time to deal with it.

4-There is only ONE way to manage your emotions and be able to constantly move smoothly towards your goals:

EMBRACE THEM and TALK TO THEM.

When sadness knocks or fear jumps out at you, find a safe place where you can Talk to yourself, Scream, Cry or just fall apart if that's where your session leads you. Think about where you want to classify your thoughts and then start to ask yourself questions. Remember you may also feel sad or scared for no apparent reason.

Questions will set you free. ASK: Emotions, what are you trying to tell me? What am I feeling? I am scared or sad but why? What happened to change my mood? Push and probe until you feel the rush of an emotional volcano. It's an experience you will never forget.

TALK OUT LOUD.

In any case, let your feelings wash over you.

Let the answers to your questions make the tears flow. Tears and talking out loud with yourself will lighten your mental pain. Tears, like laughter, are an emotional release...It is not a sign of weakness.

Tears, Laughter and screams are simply emotional safety valves.

5 - The MAIN POINT... Emotions don't want to live with you. They just want to be heard and know they did their job. Acknowledge them and they move on...And so do you.
