Spiritual Journey

We try to put meaning into our lives, we try to find the meaning of our lives, we try to give meaning to other's lives, we try to understand what the meaning of life is.
We attempt to do this through our families, our work, our pursuits, our hobbies, our travels.
We keep looking and never finding and we say that no one has the answers, but the answers do exist and some have answers that we thought there were no answers to.
The meaning I have found is that there is a higher purpose to our lives than what we want.
As long as we kick our ego out of the way and stop creating goals that are self serving, we are on the right path.
Becoming disconnected from one's humanity is the beginning of the end.
Disconnected oneself from others is the beginning of one's downfall.
Forgetting that others exist and putting our own problems ahead of everything else, creates more problems.
Rising above problems requires only a shift of our attention from being in it to being above it.
What are the tests we're being given and why are we receiving these particular tests? Who created the messes we find ourselves in? We did.
Who has the secret code that will get us out of the quagmire? We do.
Life requires faith and trust.
Faith that all will be well and trust that help will come when we need it.
The problem is we search outside of ourselves for the answers when the answers have always been inside of us.
