- 1). Select a venue with a garden theme. It can be outdoors in a backyard, park or nature preserve, or at a restaurant with beautiful plants and flowers. Or you can bring flowers and potted plants to decorate the tables of an indoor setting.
- 2). Create invitations with flowers in mind. Invitations can have a quote about gardening and love, or pictures of the bride's favorite flowers. On the invitation, ask the invitees to each bring a favorite flower to make a bouquet at the shower.
- 3). Decorate the venue with potted plants and flowers.
- 4). Serve food with a garden flair. When you are thinking of a menu, plan to highlight the fresh herbs that you might be using. If you are able to use fruits and vegetables from your own garden, even better.
- 5). Plan shower games and have themed presents for the winners. An example would be to make baskets with gardening gloves, a little shovel and some seeds, or special lotions for gardeners.
- 6). Decorate the cake (or cupcakes) with flowers. Work with the baker of the cake to place decorative or edible flowers on the cake.
- 7). Buy plants for favors. A small potted flowering plant for the participants is a great way for them to remember your shower by planting it in their own garden. Or you can also give fresh flowers to the participants. You can go to a local nursery to find some great deals.
