- 1). Visit your local craft or bead and jewelry store to find a set of posts similar to the posts your earrings currently have, but with a longer length. Check here for glue that is designed for metal and jewelry. Purchase both products.
- 2). Remove the posts on each of your earrings caefully. Use the tweezers to pick and remove any small pieces of adhesive that may remain.
- 3). Lay your earring down on a flat surface covered with newspaper to protect the surface from adhesive. Place a small drop of the glue onto the back of the earring and attach the new post in place with either your fingers or the pair of tweezers. Hold the post in place for a few moments to allow the glue to set.
- 4). Repeat Steps 2 and 3 with the other earring.
- 5). Allow both earrings to dry for 24 hours.
