How much IT knowledge do you need to increase the boot speed of your computer? The answer is: NONE! Your computer can be booting fast as new minutes from now.
I am an IT expert and there wasn't a day where I wouldn't be called over to fix a slow PC.
People call me over to fix this problem although it takes 5 minutes and few clicks to fix it and they could easily do it themselves.
Don't believe me? Let me explain to you in very simple terms what causes your computer to boot so long and run so slow (even crash and freeze).
Windows has a BIG database of where all files and programs are stored on your computer.
It has to find thousands of files in this database every time your computer boots.
The problem is that this database becomes full of junk files and old commands (corrupted or invalid registry keys in IT terms) and this causes your computer to start booting extremely slow, work extremely slow, and crash often.
Unfortunately, Microsoft didn't include any tool in Windows which would optimize this large database once in a while to keep your computer healthy.
Luckily there are thousands of registry optimizers out there which do this task.
All you have to do is install one, click the Repair button and the program will take care of the rest.
When you run it for the first time it will almost definitely find over 1000 corrupt registry keys in the registry of your computer and repair each one of them.
As a result your computer will immediately: oBoot much, much faster oGenerally run much faster oRun without annoying errors oNot crash or freeze anymore But you have to be very careful! As I said there are THOUSANDS of registry optimizers out there.
They range from excellent to utter rubbish which can damage important Windows files and cause your computer to stop working! These dangerous cleaners are often free and you don't receive any guarantee that they won't damage your PC.
You can use them, but don't say I did not warn you.
I had people come CRYING to me because they used a free registry optimizer and now their computer (full of family pictures and important work documents) won't boot.
