- 1). Check your computer to make sure it meets the system requirements, which can be be found under your "System Information." Barbie iDesign will only run on newer operating systems (including Windows 2000, Windows XP and Windows Vista). Your computer must have a minimum of 128 MB of RAM and at least 800 MB of space on your hard drive as well as a 24-bit color with a 800x600 resolution on the screen. You also must have a USB port, a DirectX video card with at least 32 MB of memory, a DirectX compatible sound card and DirectX 9.0.
- 2). Click on "Start," then "Control Panel," and then "Programs." Click on "Programs and Features." Choose the Adobe Flash program, and click "Uninstall."
- 3). Visit the Adobe website (Adobe.com), and install the newest version of Adobe Flash Player. Adobe Flash is commonly a problem with Barbie iDesign, and reinstalling the program can fix the problem.
- 4). Find out if your video card is compatible with DirectX 9.0 and if the driver for your video card is up to date. If it is not, you may be able to update the driver.
