- 1). Apply hair spray to the sole of the shoe and allow it to dry before wearing. The hairspray will temporarily make the bottom of the shoe tacky and slip-free.
- 2). Mark three large Xs in the sole of the shoe with a pair of heavy-duty scissors. The scratches will provide friction between the shoe and the ground.
- 3). Rough-up the sole of the shoe with a coarse-grit sandpaper. This will provide grip at the bottom of the shoe.
