In the game of paintball you play as a team so you must think as one.
One should be able to anticipate the move of his teammates and opponents and this can only be done through team work.
Being one in the field is the key to winning a paintball tournament, so here are the things you need to do to win.

1. When the whistle is blown immediately get to cover.
   Do not spend so much time looking for the best place to hide, hide at the first place you see.
   
2. The team must be spread all through out the field, do not flock in one area.
   When you do this, it will be easy for your opponents to take down almost half of your team.
   
3. If possible, always move in pairs.
   This way the other person will cover for the other one and can move easily from one location to another.
   This is one of the best strategies when playing this kind of sport.
   
4. It is important to constantly move from one place to another because in no time your opponents will track you down when you stay one place.
   Make sure that you and yourself are covered as you move.
   When moving shoot at your enemy's position.
   
5. When moving, move down the sidelines which will give you better angle to shoot at your enemy decreasing their number before the actual run for the flag.
   
6. Shoot at your opponents as intensely as possible.
   Have your teammates fire shots at your enemies especially when moving in for the flag.
   This will also keep opponents from knowing who has the flag and what position he is in.
   
7. To move back to your base with the flag it can be done in several ways.
   For instance, if there are only a few opponents left, you can just run back to your base with following a zigzag pattern.
   If there are more opponents left, then you have to make sure that every move is covered by each of your teammates.
   You can also pass the flag to another teammate to confuse your opponents.
   
8. Always have a plan when your opponent beat you to the flag.
   You must be more alert and move quickly when this happens.
   If it is just a small field then the center third of your team must fire at the opponents and the other two thirds will charge.
   In the case of a wide field, then a sniper will be a great help to shoot at the bearer of the flag.
   
9. Now, if the opponent is making a run for their base then break your cover and start firing at them.
   It is better to lose a few teammates that to lose the entire game.
   
10. If you are got cornered then immediately move from cover to while shooting at your opponents.
    This way they will have no time to react and you can still steal a chance to win the game and probably even eliminate your opponents.
    
11. Always make sure that the field is entirely covered by your team and have someone cover the extremes because once you get flanked then you are done.
