- Check the cable(s) entering the back of the projector. All cables should be firmly seated. Check component video cabling to ensure that the green (sync) cable is inserted into the proper input, normally labeled "Y."
- Use the "Input" button on the DLP projector or the unit's remote to ensure that you are on the input you wish to view. Turn on the source, then look at the back panel to see the input number and/or label that corresponds to that source. If you are routing the signals through a switcher or A/V receiver, make sure that device is set to the proper input.
- Ensure that, if a power strip or surge protector is in use, that all the relevant outlets are on. Many surge protection devices have a feature that disables outlets in the event of a surge or brownout. Reset the unit to ensure that all are activated that need to be to see an image on the DLP.
- High-definition multimedia interface cables are sometimes picky about the order in which devices are turned on. If the wrong order is chosen, the HDMI signal between source and display will fail to sync properly. Turn off the source and DLP projector. Turn on the source first, then the DLP. If this does not work, reverse the sequence and note which is effective for future use.
