At home due to her sexual-harassment suspension, Liz is frustrated about not working until she meets a bunch of laid-back women of leisure. Embracing their stress-free lifestyle, she decides not to return to TGS, until she discovers that the group is a front for an underground fight club. Jack has Jenna fake her own death to drum up publicity for her ersatz Janis Joplin biopic (now about “Jackie Jormp-Jomp”), but she can’t resist showing up at her own tribute show to sing a melancholy version of “Muffin Top.” Kenneth and Dot Com both fall for the same TGS dancer, and Tracy tries to help, with predictably disastrous results.

“The Ones”

Elisa returns from Puerto Rico and agrees to marry Jack, but it turns out that she has a secret in her past: She killed her first husband in a fit of jealousy. At first Jack thinks he can accept this, but then he realizes that Elisa is too unstable, and ends their relationship. When Jenna meets a hot EMT and then fails to get his number, she keeps causing Kenneth to have serious allergic reactions to get the paramedics to show up. Tracy worries about what his wife wants for their anniversary, since she’s asked for him to get a tattoo of her name and face on his chest.

Episode 20

“The Natural Order”
Original Airdate: April 30, 2009

Jack’s mother comes to town with a new boyfriend, and Jack hires a private investigator to check up on the guy. Jack doesn’t discover anything incriminating, but he does end up finding out that the man he always thought was his father actually wasn’t. Tracy and Liz engage in a battle of wills over Tracy’s lack of professionalism and the principle of equal treatment in the workplace.

Jenna decides to adopt a monkey and dress it up in ridiculous costumes in another one of her typical ploys to get attention.

Episode 21

“Mamma Mia”
Original Airdate: May 7, 2009

Liz presses Jack to track down his real father, and he discovers that liberal college professor Milton Greene (guest star Alan Alda) is his dad. He’s overjoyed until Milton announces that he needs a kidney. Jenna gets extra attention when one of her catchphrases becomes popular, and Liz is jealous. Liz worms in on Jenna’s photo shoot, and ends up with a magazine cover that makes her look ridiculous. Tracy introduces everyone to his illegitimate son, who is clearly a con artist. Liz and Pete try to warn Tracy, but he reveals that he already knows, and just likes helping someone.

Episode 22

“Kidney Now!”
Original Airdate: May 14, 2009

Jack isn’t a match to donate a kidney to his newfound father, so he decides to organize a an all-star benefit song to find Milton a donor. Jenna and Liz go on a trashy talk show to give relationship advice, and Liz becomes a sensation as a relationship guru, enjoying her newfound fame even as she gives out disastrous tips. Kenneth convinces Tracy to overcome his fears and speak at the graduation ceremony at his old high school.
