    • The only SL1 engine available is a 1.9-liter, 4-cylinder engine with 3.23-by-3.54-inch bore and stroke and a 9.3:1 compression ratio. Power output is 100 horsepower and 114 pound-feet of torque. The SL1 has outstanding fuel economy at 29 miles per gallon in the city and 40 mpg on the highway.

    Drivetrain and Chassis

    • The SL1 employs front-engine, front-wheel drive and is available with either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission. It has front disc brakes and rear drum brakes, and anti-lock functionality was only available as an option. The SL1 has four-wheel independent suspension.

    Exterior and Interior

    • The SL1 measures 76.9 inches long and 66.7 inches wide and has a 102.4-inch wheelbase. Its light, 2,321-pound curb weight helps with performance. The interior provides seating for five and a folding rear seat that allows trunk access and increased cargo utility. Total cargo capacity is 12.1 cubic feet.
