Earlier this year, I was one of the most anxiety ridden people you ever met.
I would actually call myself a bit neurotic and when I did, people didn't disagree.
I was thinking ahead on everything thinking "what if this doesn't work?" or "what if something bad happens?" I worked myself up into a very nervous person.
Then, I got ulcers.
I knew I had to make changes.
I told myself that I had to stop anxiety now.
In analyzing why I have so much anxiety, I realized...
it was partly due to my own thoughts! The other part is that I was in the wrong work/personal relationships! So, I made a list of everything I needed to do.
And, I did it.
And, guess what? It worked.
Here's what I did: 1.
I got rid of the toxicity in my life! I took an inventory of my life and the things that made me feel out of control.
I actually took steps to change my job that stressed me out (and I did it!).
I also had to end my friendship with someone that I knew was not healthy for me.
This person was not treating me very nicely from time to time.
It made me feel lousy.
I had put up with it for so long and even told him about it.
But nothing changed.
So,as difficult as it was (it's not fun and I don't like hurting people)..
..
after that last conversation where I told him I can no longer be his friend,I felt SO good.
I knew I had just taken steps to take care of myself.
2.
I started listening to hypnosis tapes.
I went to a local hypnotist who made a tape for me.
At first, I went just to be able to listen to something to help me sleep at night, but it ended up completely changing my life.
He said so many wonderful positive things that I listened to RELIGIOUSLY...
every night.
When you start hearing words like "You are in control of your life" over and over, you start to believe it! It really sunk in and I found myself being much more calm.
There are actually wonderful sites to download hypnosis tapes.
It's the best thing ever to help you stop anxiety now! 3.
I read books.
Mostly Anxiety Ebooks.
For me, I liked the workbooks.
The ones that make you think about your life and categorize your feelings.
You really do have breakthroughs when you do these types of exercises.
These exercises also help to simplify things, make you feel in control and allow you to see it's not all that bad after all.
So, after spending some weeks just doing these things, I really started to feel MUCH better in all areas of my life.
I can't recommend highly enough these natural ways for you to stop anxiety now!
