Often our congressmen and senators will speak at schools in order to promote their political career.
It seems that schools should not allow congressmen or senators who are politicians to go to a school anytime near an election.
It seems that this could be a ploy to get more votes and it also is increasingly indoctrinating our children into more reliance on the government and less reliance on themselves.
It is important that our children in the schools respect authority, but at the same time the congressmen and senators should not of use or abuse our schools for their own personal gain and political power.
It actually makes sense to never let congressmen or senators speak at schools.
This is because so many of these congressmen and senators will still be in political life well after these children have graduated and are able to vote.
Children and even teens are very impressionable and if we allow congressmen and senators who are politicians to help shape their minds and their political views then we are doing an injustice to free thought in our civilization.
And additionally if we are to allow congressmen and senators to speak at schools to children then it makes sense to also allow the other political parties who are in opposition to also speak.
It might be wiser to wake up the kids in school early on by allowing politicians to debate in school gymnasiums.
This way children can understand that some of what they hear from authorities is not black and white or wrong or right and the children can judge for themselves and learn about how politics really work in the real world.
It makes sense to have an equal opportunity for all politicians in this regard or none at all.
I hope you will consider this in 2006 because it is an issue that is serious enough to discuss.
