- 1). Leaf through celebrity magazines or websites such as People and Entertainment Weekly to see what your favorite stars are wearing at both red carpet events and for day-to-day activities. Such magazines will often state the name of the designer of certain clothing items worn by the star, as well as stores that carry that particular piece or items similar to it.
- 2). Read fashion magazines such as Vogue or In Style to keep up to date with the latest fashion trends. There's no reason why you should wear yesterday's trends.
- 3). Shop at areas and stores celebrities like to frequent, such as those on Robertson Boulevard in Los Angeles or Oxford Street in London. As an added bonus, you may even bump into a celebrity. Ask sales clerks about their store's most coveted or popular items among celebrities.
- 4). Make note of hairstyle trends as well. Movie stars have to constantly change their hair for movie roles and to stay "current". You may even be able to visit their hairdressers. Most of the ones used by stars have salons in upscale Los Angeles neighborhoods, such as Beverly Hills or Malibu.
- 5). Be daring and create an individual style while still staying tendy. Celebrities are usually confident on camera, and their clothes reflect this. Don't wear the same boring clothing all the time. Step out of your mold and try to go out in clothes you wouldn't normally wear. Mix and match. Create a funky style and be confident while sporting outfits that show it.
