Northern Georgia offers a choice of facilities for riding dirt bikes, no matter your level of interest. Whether you want a casual practice session, are interested in taking lessons or want to compete in a statewide racing series, you can find the right track. Some facilities add to your comfort by selling food and providing places to camp. - Twin Peaks Motorcross in the town of Tunnel Hill has a motorcross track for dirt bikers and offers lessons. The track is mostly flat with plenty of curves. As of fall 2010, it was offering practice sessions on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. In addition to classes, on selected days throughout the year dirt bike races are held for riders following the practice sessions.
- Lazy River Motorcross in the north Georgia town of Dalton has dirt bike classes for riders at the amateur, novice, intermediate and expert levels. It also holds races for a variety of levels throughout the year, mostly during summer. These races are part of a series held at tracks around Georgia. The track promotes a family atmosphere and has a concession stand that serves hot food. It also has discount arrangement it has with local hotels. Races can handle up to 42 riders at a time.
- Situated in northeast Georgia, Aonia Pass Motocross Park has a track open seven days a week. Practice sessions are available each Saturday and Sunday. The park hosts many trials, special events and races, including the General, which the track calls one of the largest off-road dirt bike races in the eastern part of the country. It is also home to regional qualifiers and is one of the tracks that takes part in a series of events held around Georgia. A full-day pass includes use of the track, hot showers and access to a concession stand. Primitive camping facilities with access to showers and restrooms are available. The camping area also has 147 RV sites with full hook-ups. Guests can fish in the lake on a property that covers 600 acres.
