Ram Jethmalani is often in the news because of his reactionary vocal statements. The Latest News is that his suspension from political party Bhartiya Janta Party has been revoked. The lawyer turned politician Ram Jethmalani was suspended from the party on November 26th, 2012. He made a fiery statement asking resignation of party president of BJP Nitish Gadkari. Nitin Gadkari was accused of corruption charges, hence he demanded the party to seek the resignation of the party president. He also asked the party to take action against Nitin Gadkari on the issue of appointment of CBI Director.

This was viewed seriously by the party and suspended him from the party. There were indications that Mr Ram Jethmalani met Nitin Gadkari at the resident of senior BJP leader Lal Krishna Advani on 11th January 2013. Ram Jethmalani assured his faith in the ideology of the party and wished that party come to power in the next general election. Party spoke-person, Mr Shahnawaz Hussain announced on 11th January 2013.

Breaking News is that Mr Ram Jethmalani confirmed that he met Mr L K Advani and Mr Nitin Gadkari, however he refused to give more details. He said I am a servant of the party and ask the leaders. When asked that whether his suspension is revoked; he replied that it will happen. Mr Jethmalani and his son Mr Mahesh Jethmalani MP at time of demanding the resignation of Nitin Gadkari claimed that other party leaders are also of the same view and with them. The move has been a great embarrassment for the party and other parties raised their voice that there is in fight within the party.

These rebellion actions and statements are routine practice among political parties and few individuals or a section of dissent individuals have rebelled and damaged the image of the party. There have been always an effort from the matured leadership to handle such situation and come out of it in a Win-Win situation. In case the efforts are futile and hostility among grieved section of member disassociate themselves and join other parties or form independent party or challenge party leader as an independent candidate. Vested interests are influencing factors than the ideological. Democracy and politics of election raise trivial issues and destroy the fabric of society. The need of the hour is to have healthy politics. It is ideal to once again recall the principles of our leaders of the era who fought for independence from British rule.
