- 1). Download the free Norton Removal Tool from Symantec's support site. Open it when prompted.
- 2). Read the welcome message, which shows which versions of Norton Ghost the removal tool supports. Click the "Next" button only if your version is supported. Accept the "License Agreement" by clicking on its radio button and click "Next." Follow the rest of the instructions clicking "Next" each time until the removal process begins. Restart your computer if prompted.
- 3). Change the view in the Control Panel to "Classic View" or "Large Icons" to see all the Control Panel items. Double-click on the "Add or Remove Programs" icon if you are using Windows XP or older versions. If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, double-click the "Program and Features" icon instead.
- 4). Look for a Norton Ghost entry and uninstall it by clicking the entry followed by the "Uninstall" button.
