Tooth Fairy Pillow Pattern
Create a tooth fairy pillow by drawing an outline of a tooth on a piece of cardboard. The tooth should measure approximately 8" tall x 7" wide when you've finished drawing the pattern. Cut out along lines. - 2
Trace pattern.
Trace the pattern and cut two teeth on felt for each tooth fairy pillow. Note in the picture there are two white felt pieces for the girl's pillow and one orange and one yellow felt piece for the boy's pillow. Pin sections together. - 3
To create a tooth fairy pillow for a boy, hand sew in a straight stitch approximately 1/4" from edges. Once 3/4 of the pillow is sewn, begin stuffing polyfill into the felt tooth. Stuff very full to give the tooth a good shape.
Cut a 12" length of string for the hanger. Fold in half to make a loop. Insert 1" of the joined ends of the string into the seam at the top of the tooth fairy pillow. Sew securely into the 1/4" seam.
Cut a felt piece that is 1 1/2" tall x 2 1/2" wide for the back pocket. Sew pocket to back of pillow on three sides leaving top open to hold tooth before tooth fairy visit and to hold money when the fairy departs. - 4
Add character to the face of the tooth fairy pillow by cutting out felt features and hand sewing to the front. For fun, sew a bandage on the boy tooth fairy pillow as little boys always seem to be sporting bandages. Hot glue the squiggly eyes in place. - 5
Repeat this same process for the girl tooth fairy pillow. To make her features more feminine, embroider eyelashes and sew on pink circles for blushing cheeks. Hot glue a knotted pink felt bow to the top of her molar. - 6
