Write the intended guest's name on the first line-the title line-of the address. Use the person's formal first name, such as Richard instead of "Rick," advises Artistic Addressing. - 2). Place a second guest's name, if necessary, on the second line. If no second guest is at that address, begin entering address information on the second line.
- 3). Write the street address or post office box on the second line or third line, including additional information, such as apartment numbers, if possible. If not, use the third line for the additional information. Spell out words such as "Post Office Box," "Apartment" and "Building."
- 4). Place the city, state and zip code on the third or fourth line. Spell out the full state name.
- 5). Add a note about formal invitations. The note should tell those who receive save the date cards they will receive formal event invitations at a future date.
- 6). Place your name and address on the back of the envelope, centering it on the flap.
