- 1). Choose the color of your baby corsage. If you know the sex of the baby you can choose accordingly. White or ivory is an ideal choice if the sex is not known.
- 2). Cut fresh flowers, leaving the stems about 3" long. Any flower type will do. Rose buds are ideal for a baby corsage because they are small, and you can fit more of them together.
- 3). Add some green leaves and some baby's breath to the flower stems. Wrap floral tape around the stems to hold the bunch together.
- 4). Wrap a satin ribbon, the color of the corsage, around the floral tape to hide it. Tie a separate satin ribbon around the top of the stems--the base of the flowers. Create a fancy bow.
- 5). Use a safety pin to attach the baby corsage to the mother's lapel. A hat pin will do as well, although a safety pin doesn't leave a sharp point sticking out.
