How to Play a DVD on a Computer DVD Drive

    • 1). Push the button on the DVD tray to open it.

    • 2). Place the DVD face down on the tray, so the label faces up. Push the tray shut, clicking it back into place. The DVD may start playing automatically. If not, continue to the next step.

    • 3). Select a program if a window appears with a list of options. Once you click, the DVD will start to play.

    • 4). Click "Start," then type "Explorer.exe," and select "Windows Explorer," if you didn't get a list of programs.

    • 5). Click "Computer," then select "Devices with Removable Storage," and double-click the DVD icon. It may play automatically. If not, a list of programs will appear; select one to begin playing the DVD.
