How Do I Edit & Capture Cards Compatible With Vista 32?

    • 1). Plug the RCA audio/video cables into the "Video Out" ports on the analog-based device. Connect the opposite ends of the cables into the "Video In" ports on the capture card.

    • 2). Launch Windows Movie Maker -- this is located on the "Start" menu -- and wait for the video editor to load onto the computer system.

    • 3). Click "Capture," then power on the connected video device. The program shows all available capture options, including the connected capture card.

    • 4). Select the capture card, press "Play" on the connected device and click "Record." The audio and video from the hooked up equipment now imports into the computer. Click "Stop" at any time to complete the upload process. The video content now appears as a thumbnail on the right side of the screen.

    • 5). Double-click the video thumbnail to load the content into the display window. Click the "Play" button, then click the "In Point" button (directly below the video screen). This becomes the first frame of the video you want to use. Click the "Out Point" when you find the last frame you want.

    • 6). Click-and-drag the edited video down to the time-line at the bottom of the screen. Once in place, repeat the process until you completely edit your project.

    • 7). Select "File," "Export," and then title the file. Choose a location to save it to and click "OK." This exports the finished video file to your computer.
