One of the biggest issues in Network Marketing & Direct Sales is picking the right Mentor to assist you.
With so many people online trying to teach different ways to market and personal development, how do you know who to follow? Great Question! It is not uncommon to go online searching for help and a few Leaders pop up with courses to teach you how to build your business.
Some are real Great Leaders and some are what I call Fake.
Those that know how to market online you will find them all over the internet from search engines to video's.
But is that the right person to follow? A lot of business owners are taught to learn a strategy then teach it but some of them don't practice what they preach.
They would say Facebook PPC is great but they don't have a single ad on Facebook.
The true Leaders are ALL OVER, that is just one clue who to listen to.
Keep in mind that some know how to market online and compete with the big leaders but are Fake.
The best way to pick out someone to follow is at an event or a meeting.
They are easy to point out because they always have a crowd around them, speaking or have a following everywhere they go.
Another way to point out a Leader is that they are always with very successful people.
Those that are great Leaders follow other great leaders.
As I said it's not hard to miss a leader in your presence.
Although live meeting and events are great to find leaders most gravitate online for help.
The best way to seek a leader is to watch those that show up EVERYWHERE online.
Follow what they do and how consistent they are online.
Most great leaders LEAD by hosting their own web conference meetings and trainings on various subjects.
Leaders focus on helping others and leading with value rather than the rest just shoving opportunities down everyone's throat.
As I said before it's easier to find leaders offline but in the online world it's much harder to point out.
You can point out a great leader that is all over the internet when they promote and attend EVENTS.
That is a great way to point out a great leader and Mentor for you.
My best advice when seeking a Mentor or just the right person to listen to is to follow those that HAVE WHAT YOU WANT, NOT WHAT YOU ALREADY HAVE.
It's just like taking advice from someone who rents an apartment advising you how to invest in real estate.
Does that make sense? Always follow the leaders and mentors that have what you want in life.
Now those that have what you already have are not bad people or Fake, you need to do your research to see who they follow.
If they are following another follower, chances are they are not having success and you will be wasting your time, but if you connect with someone who is following a great leader and mentor then you are in the right hands.
Those are people who will give you great tips and are great for team accountability.
Both of you can talk about goal setting and hold each other accountable to achieve those goals.
Most leaders are bombarded with demand from their team but if you get together with those that have the right mindset and are following the right leaders that HAVE WHAT YOU WANT, that maybe a good business partner.
