If you have been experiencing Prius charging problems, there is a good possibility that your main Prius battery is starting to go. After all, it is the main battery that keeps the vehicle charged. If cells within the main battery start to give out, then you are most likely going to experience Prius charging problems.
The main Prius battery is designed to put out "X" amount of voltage to power your Prius. As the cells within the main battery begin to fail, the battery can no longer sustain the voltage needed to keep the car up and running. It is at this point that you will notice those nagging Prius charging problems.
Now the bad news (if you have not learned already), that a replacement Prius battery can run you upwards of $4000 between parts and labor! That is a pretty hefty price tag, don't you think? And for those of you that have already taken your car in, know that this is a legit price. Sorry, but I am not making this up!
Now I know that this is a bit disheartening, but I am going to clue you in on something that very few Prius owner's know - You can actually REBUILD and REPAIR your existing battery for a fraction of the cost of a new battery. The real trick though is learning how to do it!
Did you ever wonder what happens to the Prius cars that people sell because of a bad battery? Well, I can tell you that they are not scrapped! What happens is someone buys these cars up and then fixes the battery. They then of course go on to flip the car to make a monster profit! The only reason that they can do this is because they KNOW how to repair the existing battery versus replacing it.
My point here is that Prius charging problems doesn't mean that you have to get rid of your car. If you have even the smallest bid of mechanical aptitude, you too can learn how to salvage your Prius.
It's time to put an end to your Prius charging problems!
