- 1). Click "Start," "Control Panel" and choose either "Programs" or "Add or Remove Programs" from the display list in Control Panel.
- 2). Look through the list of programs installed on your computer until you find Windows Media Player.
- 3). Select the Windows Media Player option and click "Remove." A window appears on the screen, asking if you are sure you want to remove the programming from the computer. Click "Yes." In a moment an uninstall wizard appears on the screen.
- 4). Follow the prompts of the uninstall wizard. When asked if you want to remove associated files, choose "Yes." This removes the additional components you used with the software. Click "Uninstall" and the entire program with all the components are removed from your computer.
