How Ovulation Testing is done

Ovulation is a process in the body of a woman that happens once a month,   and it is essential to the conception of a child.  The ovaries release an egg that travels all the way to the fallopian tube, where it would wait for a sperm to fertilize it.  For pregnancy to take place, women should know when ovulation happens in here body.  Some women believe they are suffering from infertility, when in reality, they just don't know when to time their sexual contacts with their partner, so that they fall directly on their fertile and ovulation days.  Your question may now be, "how do I determine my ovulation period?" right?  Well, traditionally, ovulation is calculated using a certain formula where you have to subtract something from something.  I wouldn't discuss that with you, since there are other ways, which are more accurate, to do ovulation prediction.  I have enumerated below some of the popular ways to do ovulation testing.

Fertility Calendars – by using a Fertility Calendar you can predict when your ovulation and fertile days will arrive.  Fertility calendars are easy to find online, and there are a lot that are free to use.  The information you'll need are simple – the day of your last menstrual period and the average number of days of your menstrual cycle.  When you input these two information, the calendar will show you your next menstrual period, your ovulation day, and your fertile days, once you click the submit button.

Ovulation Test kits – since you will be spending money to buy these kits, it's advisable that you know the approximate time when you will ovulate, and so you can begin testing days close to this.  Try to use a fertility calendar first, and then mix it with ovulation test kits.  The kits work by measuring the luteinizing hormone (LH) in the urine.  LH is normally present in our system, but when its presence is abundant, that's a signal that you're ovulating.  This abundance of LH in our urine is called an LH surge.  Ovulation test kits are almost 100% accurate in predicting ovulation, so it's better to rely on it than just fertility calendars.

Basal body temperature –the body's temperature at rest is called the basal body temperature.  In order to measure your BBT effectively, you need to do so in the morning on the first day of your menstrual cycle, after you wake up and before you do anything, even go to the bathroom.  You need to continue charting your BBT for a few cycles to monitor it.  By monitoring your BBT, you will become aware of your normal temperature.  Once a change happens, specifically when your BBT rises and stays the same for three days that signals ovulation is incoming.

Ovulation test kits can greatly help you get pregnant fast, which is the reason why they are considered effective natural infertility cures that work.  They are definitely cheaper than going to the doctor, and undergoing fertility treatments, especially when your problem lies only with an incorrect timing.  Find out more ways to do an Ovulation Test by clicking here.
