- 1). Life the seat on your EzGo golf cart to access the engine and locate the governor in the engine. This is a small T-shaped metal rod near the top of the motor.
- 2). Locate the carburetor that is attached to the governor. The carburetor is a cylindrical-shaped object with valves pointing outward and upward.
- 3). Adjust the governor closer towards the carburetor, and use duct tape to hold it in position. This object controls the speed, and the closer it is to the carburetor, the faster the cart goes.
