Did you know that the Chinese gigantic dam project was so big that it actually unbalanced the planet? That's right a slight wobble was noted due to the Chinese incredible infrastructure project.
Can you imagine a human project able to alter the planet and its spin? It's true.
Of course, you also know that a gigantic project like this also puts additional weight on the plates and therefore can cause Earthquakes as well? Was the big Chinese Earthquake that killed some 77,000 Chinese caused from the big dam project? Probably not, earthquakes like this happen all over the World all the time, but it may have played a factor, as there is no way to tell, and thus, we will never know.
Still, can you imagine if the Three Gorge Dam Project failed and sent 100s of trillions of gallons of water down river all at once? And unfortunately, it could happen, a Tsunami of water like has never been seen before.
Anything along the river or in the way would be completely leveled.
Indeed, the purpose of this article certainly is not to scare anyone, in the United States we know all too well what happens when levees break and the havoc that ensues.
We watched the devastation in New Orleans after Hurricane Katrina and the Mississippi River take out its levees, but this is nothing compared to a Three Gorge Dam failure in China.
We of course, hope and pray that nothing like that ever occurs, but if history is any sort of predictor of the future fate of man-made infrastructure, perhaps there should be a massive plan in place prior to the inevitable?
